Hello again~XD Today we are going to recommend everyone to watch 1930's movie.
Although the duration is long, but is worth to watch it~
ENJOY!
Gone with the Wind (1939)
Director: Victor Felming &George Cukor
Producer: David O Selvick
Genre: Adaption, Drama, Romance
This movie is
taken from a novel written by Magaret Mitchell. It was set back in American
Civil War. Scarlett O Hara (Vivien Leigh) was hired by the producer to plays in
a character that to be an outspoken and spoiled lady. She was interested to a Ashley Wilkes(Leslie
Howard) that already proposed to Melaine (Olivia de Halvard).
Rhett Butler(Clark Gable) is a man of pragmatist than a idealist came to Scarlett`s life. He
is an army. He fell in love with Scarlett but she wasn’t into him. Scarlett had
influence Rhett to overturn the southern way of life. When Scarlet`s family in
Tara got some problem in their income from the plantation. So she had to married to Rhett to saved her
family`s plantation in Tara from the civil war. Although she had married to
Rhett but her heart was still in Ashley.
It`s an
interesting piece of film from the 30`s for me as a moviegoer. As my
understanding what is this film was trying to show. The film is trying to portray Scarlett as an
outgoing and open minded lady at that century. She was different from the rest
of ladies in that century but for us in this century is a just an ordinary lady
living it. Because of that she was captivated by Rhett. At last she was a
window before marrying to Rhett .She is also a strong, capable and smart lady.
It does show when Scarlett was out from Tara, she was staying with Melaine
while the country was at war. She took care of Melaine while Ashley was out at
war and those armies were badly injured. At the meantime she was trying to get
herself, Melaine and some servant out from war. She begged Rhett with the help of
transportation and some cash.
Although is an old
and long movie to be watch at these period of time but it `s a worth wild movie
to be enjoy. This would be a nice classical romance movie to be watching it
over and over again.
